Less than five minutes walk from my existing neighbourhood, and still a stones throw from the University lays the district of this city that I would most like to live. There are converted mills and factories, new apartments, and everything inbetween. I took these photos on my phone (n93i). They are each of views that are new to me. In a city that I thought I knew like the back of my hand. They say that New York can surprise its residents of 30 years with new experiences each day. I think the same could be said about this city. You just need to look slightly to the left of the same way that you have trained yourself to look on your commute each day. Do me (yourself) a favour. Take a different route home after you read this. Nothing could be more beneficial to your health.

those are some really great photos. I think I know the area, the old cliffs, the waters edge, before we shat the new waterfront into the ocean.
familiarity is a strange thing- but strangely there is always a strangeness present in the familiar. Only, it is subdued.
