I'm sorry, but some of the people I work with....I really don't know.
I mean. I've complained to the higer authorities about pretty much everything possible in this job. But tonight my regular supervisor is away. We don't really even need a supervisor. As I have complained before. They are literally a key holder and get to sit hidden away on the phone/internet earning a higher payrate than those of us on the frontline dealing with students.
But tonight I arrive at work to a new supervisor, well a temporarily filling in one. I'm not sure if he supervises other shifts....the printers are not going, on any of the levels!...none of them.
Apparently this has been going on for at least an hour now.
Students are coming in in droves and complaining/ aksing what's up.
He just turns them away and says that the techs are onto it.
So i ask him, how long its been going on?
Has someone been told about this....yeah, yeah he reassures me everything is ok.
I start to get annoyed and direct students' queries to him.
I suggest that we should consider putting up signs.
No, he says.
Ok, annoyed now I ask students to go to him when they come in angry.
Meanwhile he is typing out the solveIt call right now!
Noone has been notified that our MAIN printers have been out for hours.
and what's worse....he doesnt even want me to go out and lace signs on the print stations that advise 'out of order'.
Are you serious.
Man, some people.
And now you see why this blog is not advertised to my workmates :-)
you have to be kidding me
this job is the biggest joke
everyone passes the blame to the next person.
night staff blame the day staff and viceversa
day staff do nothing and expect night staff to cover...and vice versa.
haha. I feel grateful that I have patience.
But still wonder why they didnt take me seriously when I suggested that we don't need a supervisor.
ok, stop complaint now.
