I've been spending a lot of time lately. Particularly in Coralee's absence, but just alot of time in general too wizzing my way around the web, absorbing as much information as I possibly can. Gossip, News, History, Speculation, Tutorials, Lectures, Politics. Whatever.
Just clicking and reading and following trails. You know.
But i've been thinking.
We all know the knews is slanted. Tainted. Affected by something, someones opinion other than the truth. I am a big fan of the Propaganda Model by Herman and Chomsky.
I, more than many people I know, always take what I read with a grain of salt. Read critically and form an opinion of my own.
But it is easy if you are reading from one source. One newspaper. etc.
reading the same thing reported 100 different ways on the web is useful, sure. But gets friggen complicated.
Haha. My mind is forced to work more critically than normal.
no sense, yeah, but procrastinating, yes.
